Discover Freemasonry

Sidcup Lodge members have a wide age range, we would, therefore, be pleased to welcome new members at any point in their adult life and who have a desire to live their lives with a strong set of values and who have a belief in a Supreme Being . As with Freemasonry in general, neither religion or politics are discussed at Lodge meetings.
An advantage of being a Freemason is that you will never be short of things to do should you wish. Freemasonry is a fraternity with Friendship and Respect at the heart of it. This means that as a group we enjoy each others company socially. An example of a social activity for the Lodge is the yearly Go-Kart Grand Prix in Kent and we are happy to say that for many years this event has been won repeatedly by Sidcup Lodge. Another event many look forward to is the yearly Christmas Carols concert. This is a traditional Christmas dinner followed by Carol singing with a professional piano player and a super raffle. Also fun quiz nights are arranged, meals and educational tours of Grand Lodge for friends and family to attend are also organised for example.
The Lodge meets five times a year in Sidcup so occasionally it can mean waiting a few months before joining, however, this does not prevent you from attending any social functions and we would really like to see you at these! For our meetings we do like to dress smart so a dark suit, white shirt, black shoes and plain black tie is common dress. In-between these meetings we have informal meetings which are relaxed, cordial and offer the chance to learn more about Freemasonry in general.
